Follow up II on broken Blogger comment feed
The blogger feed turned back to normal, after being messed up for a while. Actually it was a valid feed all the time, just that blogger's feed widget wasn't able to display the feed correctly.
I switched back to blogger's feed from my Yahoo pipe that I used while the feed was broken. Everything seems to work smooth again. My pipe is still running and I won't take it it down, in case people out there still wanna use it.

Yahoo pipes behind proxy
The Yahoo pipes site does not display properly when I access it from my workplace. When I'm at home it works without any problems. No matter if I'm using IE 6/7 or the latest
Firefox, it still looks like this:

The only difference between my workplace and home is the company's proxy. I assume there's some weird caching magic going on that doesn't with Yahoo pipes.

Follow up on broken Blogger comment feed
A lot of people wrote me on how to fix the broken Blogger comment feed. So here are the steps to use my Yahoo pipe that I created:
I hope this helps to as long as the Blogger feed is still broken.
- go to my Yahoo pipe
- add your broken Blogger comment feed url to the input box, e.g. http://dlinsin.blogspot.com/feeds/comments/default and hit "Run Pipe"
- the result is a pimped version of your broken feed, that you can use instead of the original feed. With a click on "More options" you can get the url of the feed, e.g. http://pipes.yahoo.com/pipes/pipe.run?_id=

&_render=rss&feed=

Blogger comments feed broken
Yesterday I noticed, that my recent_comment widget was broken. The cause of that was blogger changing the structure of the comments feed - at least that's what I suppose. Anyways after checking the Help Group, I found that other folks have the same problems too. I decided to create a yahoo pipe to mess around with the comments feed so that it can be displayed using blogger's feed widget. It's not perfect, but you can at least see the recent comments.

Yahoo pipes for integration
On my quest for integrating Twitter and Plazes with my blog, I'm using Yahoo pipes now. Yahoo describes pipes as follows:
I'm using pipes to manipulate the Plazes rss feed, which contains my location and my status, to create the little sentence you can see in my presence box. Therefore I leverage JSON to access the pipe data. It works very well and I don't have any delays, unlike using Google's AJAX Feed API. Another advantages is that I didn't have to code JavaScript. The pipe's editor was fairly easy to use and I had my pipe up and running in less than an hour.
Pipes is an interactive data aggregator and manipulator that lets you mashup your favorite online data sources.

Prepping my trip to Singapore
Today is all about packing, researching and getting ready for my trip to Singapore. I almost finished my planning over at Yahoo's trip planner. Since my last blog entry about it, I added destinations to Bangkok and changed a couple of places in Singapore.
This will be my last blog post before I leave, so next time I'll be blogging from Singapore.

Trip to Singapore
Next Tuesday I'll fly off to Singapore and I'm still pondering on what to do there. I started planning my trip using Yahoo's Trip Planner, which is not perfect, but quite handy.
I added a couple of things I'd like to do, for instance I definitely wanna go to Sentosa for swimming and I also wanna Night Safari in the Singapore Zoo. Furthermore there's Great Singapore Sale, which means shopping, shopping, shopping :-) It's like "Winterschlussverkauf" but without winter.
Anyways, I'm also planning to spend a day or two in Bangkok. If you have any tips for me, any suggestions what to do in Singapore or Bangkok, post a comment or send me an email.
