Okay it's not exactly an ipo, but from next week on you can buy Java stocks. Sun is renaming their NASDAQ stock exchange symbol SUNW "Stanford University Network Workstation" to JAVA. According to Sun's CEO and president Jonathan Schwartz "Most know Java, few know Sun - we can bring the two one step closer".
I don't know if it's a good or bad move by Sun, I just know that everything seems to go Java these days. Starbuck's Java Chocolate Chip, Java stocks...Java here and Java there.
